Pembroke Park, Florida – A large number of first responders work to fight a commercial structure fire in Pembroke Park.
It happened Tuesday night along SW 30th Avenue.
In the Wetwear Custom wetsuit business, workers are exposed to temperatures in excess of 500 degrees.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Chief said the fire was extremely dangerous.
More than 80 firefighters were exposed to neoprene, which is toxic when burned.
That and the excessive heat were why it took crews two hours to extinguish the flames.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
