Main Street Candy Shop donates 10% of sales during Small Business Saturdays to the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV).
Small Business Saturday is a shopping day that occurs on the first Saturday after the Thanksgiving holiday. This year, it falls on Saturday, November 1st. 26.
“We’re really enjoying our ongoing relationship with HSHV,” Rocket Fizz co-owner Tom Holmer said in a release. “Bringing joy to people is a big part of our daily drive and nothing makes us happier than seeing some four-legged friends find new families.”
HSHV helps approximately 24,000 animals and people each year. It offers adoption services, low-cost veterinary services, animal food pantry, behavior training classes, animal rescue services, rehabilitation services and more for all types of animals.
As of 2022, Cherry Road Shelter has helped more than 4,300 animals be adopted.
“We at HSHV are very grateful to local businesses like Rocket Fizz who make giving back a priority,” said Laura Crouch, HSHV Development Assistant.
“We wouldn’t be able to do our life-saving work without our incredible animal-loving community! So know that when you shop at Rocket Fizz on Small Business Saturday, you’re giving back to the homeless who need us most returned, injured and abused animals.”
Rocket Fizz Ann Arbor first opened at 306 S. Main St. August 2021. It’s quickly becoming famous for its unique candies, novelties and over 500 varieties of soda.
The store will also accept cash donations for HSHV animals throughout the holiday shopping season.
