There are various wine varieties.

from its own line.

“That’s the beauty of our relationship,” Dobrev (“The Vampire Diaries”) said of the former “Dancing with the Stars” pro. “Whenever we’re in the same room, it’s like there’s no time to go by and we just go for it. So, of course we love the reception.” In fact, she adds, at Hove from Nebraska (she’s currently in Filming there), after returning to New York City, the two plan to coordinate a friendship festival and a holiday party. (Dobrev is currently in New York with her boyfriend, famed snowboarder Shaun White.)

Fresh Vine Wine is a natural extension of friendship. Officially launched in 2019, the collection features premium low-carb, low-calorie, low-sugar and gluten-free wines produced in Napa, California. “The idea was born because we all have active lifestyles, but it’s hard to find the balance between having a good time and taking a Pilates class at 8am,” explains Dobrev. “We learned that you can blend the right grapes without losing flavor. Now that’s what we serve.”

Dobrev admits she and her best friend of ten years – they were introduced through their mutual hairstylist! ——They are all Type A personalities who know that love is in the details. “We all really, really like a plan and think about everything that comes with having a party,” she said. “We’ll prepare and send electronic invitations, then follow up and make sure everything is perfect. If one of us doesn’t have the bandwidth to do something, we’ll cover each other. It’s great to have a buddy who’s also your best friend .”

To get the party started, Dobrev and Hough put together a holiday party to-do list for CNN Underscored. Yes, they even checked twice.

Hough chose the bottle this season because “it’s perfect for any toasting occasion,” she says. “It’s fruity, sweet, and its sparkling nature with long-lasting bubbles accentuates the bright flavors. It’s sure to please the masses.” Meanwhile, Dobrev chose fresh-grape wine Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany heavy meals such as Thanksgiving because it The rich, full-bodied flavor blends beautifully with turkey, cranberry sauce, and other holiday treats.

In the post-pandemic world, decorative wine charms are “a fun way to make sure everyone knows whose glass is theirs,” Hoff said. “My guests love them. Everyone is more aware of germs anyway.” Her choice was a rainbow-colored six-piece set by designer Joanna Buchanan.

Boarderie Arte Cheese and Deli Board

“I have a million!” Dobrev admitted. “Someone needs to intervene because every time I go out and see a beautiful circuit board, I have to buy it. My kitchen is overflowing.” She on her favorite Williams Sonoma cheese Lay out a variety of cheeses – think blue cheese, goat cheese, “sharp” cheddar and gouda that she warms up in the oven before the guests arrive – plus blanched whole almonds, crackers and jams . This one is made from acacia wood and includes bamboo service fittings.

Bone china discs and dip bowls

To complement all this tacky, Hough picked this “beautiful” stainless steel bowl from Michael Aram, which also happens to be a sophisticated table centerpiece. “People love to snack!” she explained. But instead of calorie-packed guacamole or ranch dip, she added hummus.

Sonos Roaming Speakers

Hear the news now: Dobrev insists her sleek Sonos speakers are essential to capturing the unique vibe in every room. “You can customize every playlist on your phone to make it easy,” she said. Her top pick: a Spotify dinner curated by chef Mario Carbone (taken from his eponymous restaurant in New York) featuring classics by Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles and Otis Redding.

What kind of joke are you?

“When I throw parties, games are essential because it’s a fun way to get to know people and break the ice while still having a good time,” Hough said. Because Trivial Pursuit is 1998, she chose this latest adult-only entry – where players match funny titles to a wild photo card. A designated judge selects the winner. The core game contains 360 subtitle options and 75 thick, glossy photo cards.

Diptyque Baies/Berry Candle

Light candles. Actually, fire a bunch. “More and more!” Dobrev exclaimed. “Adding candles allows you to lower the lighting in your location and set the mood in this romantic setting. It’s 100% a big deal for me.” She has a crush on Baies/Berries scented candles from French brand Diptyque Chung: “They’re so pretty, they smell great, and they make a room look chic.” Don’t forget to blow them all out before the evening is over.

The partners agreed that Riedel wine glasses, used in most high-end restaurants, were the clear winners in this category. “This is OG!” Hough said. “They set the stage for enhancing the flavor of the grape variety through glassware.” Seconds Dobrev, “They’re well made and very beautiful. When I see the logo, it reminds me of the good old days.” She estimates she has about 16, depending on the occasional accidental drop.

Folex Instant Carpet Stain Remover

Cleaning up after a party can be a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Dobrev jokes that her sister-in-law is a teacher in Greece and swears by Greek philosophy that Windex is the ultimate panacea. “I’ve taken the whole Windex when it comes to surfaces,” she said. But for wine stains on hardcore rugs and sofas, she sprays with Folex. As she puts it, “I found it amazing.”
