COLUMBUS, Ohio (Columbus Business First) — New Albany could annex more than 500 acres and redesign the city’s business park, a fast-growing part of the Columbus suburb’s successful economic development strategy.

The New Albany City Council is considering two ordinances to speed up the annexation of 509 acres from Jersey Town and change the zoning ordinance from agriculture to limited general employment (L-GE). The land was part of the original annexation agreement with Jersey Town approved by the city council in January. 4.

Proposed Rezoning – New Albany Corporation Requirements. Affiliate MBJ Holdings LLC – will serve as an extension of the New Albany International Business Park. In addition to Intel Corp.’s planned $20 billion semiconductor campus, companies like Amazon, Meta and Google have facilities on the campus.
