Lafayette has announced 23 businesses as recipients of the 2021-2022 Green Business Award.
Adopted in 2013, the Green Business Initiative aims to encourage businesses to conserve energy and water, reduce waste and adopt more sustainable practices. Businesses in the program have access to training, education, incentives and sustainable solutions. The program is free to join.
Businesses go from Gold to Bronze based on practices, policies and education for employees and customers. Among the 23 companies, 14 won the Gold Award, 7 won the Silver Award, and 2 won the Bronze Award.
The Gold Award winners are Bare Boulder Design and Repair, Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (BVUUF), Camp Little Tooth Pediatric Dentistry, Confluence SBC, Errand Service Biz, Inc DBA e-Services, Jax Outdoor Gear, Romero’s K9 Club & Taphouse, Sister Carmen Community Center, Stem Ciders, Tadpole Press, The Happy Beast, The Natural Funeral, The Post Brewing Co. Wow! Children’s Museum.
Silver medalists include Atlas Valley Purveyors, Community Restaurant, Little Herbal Apothecary, Mumtaz Mediterranean Food, Proto’s Pizza, Lafayette, RE/MAX Alliance and Sister Carmen Retail Store. Bronze medalists were Karen’s Company and Ninety Fifth Street Salon & Spa.
