High Point police SUV, 2 or 3 Dodge Challengers stolen from Winston-Salem business; police say 1 arrest

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — According to the HPPD, several stolen vehicles from High Point companies have been recovered, including a High Point Police Department SUV.

Investigators say a black 2019 Dodge Durango belonging to the department was stolen around 5:18 a.m. while it was being repaired at a business in the 700 block of South Avenue

The SUV was eventually located in Winston-Salem around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, according to police. It’s unclear if the SUV was damaged during the theft.

Investigators also said that three Dodge Challengers; two orange and one purple; were also stolen.

Two of the three stolen Challengers will also be recovered at another location in Winston-Salem, according to investigators. An orange 2022 Dodge Challenger is still at large.

Investigators say at least one person has been arrested in Winston-Salem in connection with vehicle theft.
