The Greater Baltimore Council and the Baltimore Development Corporation on Friday selected 12 businesses to receive the 2022 Mayor’s Business Recognition Award, which honors organizations that demonstrate significant leadership and service in improving the quality of life in Baltimore.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott will hold the event at the Renaissance Baltimore Hotel for the first time since 2019 at the 11:30 a.m. event scheduled for December 14.
Annual awards are given to specific events that have greatly benefited Baltimore. Projects and activities initiated by this year’s winners include: STEM events for future engineers; providing families with free internet access and other technology resources to help meet medical needs during the pandemic; and developing collaborative community efforts to support critical food distribution plan.
