Crary Art Gallery is celebrating Women in Small Business Month with exhibitions and workshops.
Marion Sanford “Woman at Work” The sculpture is perfectly timed and will be on display starting October 1st. June to November 1.
Meanwhile, the modernist painter Paul Mommer’s “artistic life” will be on display.
“Momer was closely associated with New York artists, including the seminal Abstract Expressionists,” According to the gallery’s website.
Exhibitions at the gallery are open from noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 4pm on Sundays.
The gallery is also celebrating with the Warren County Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a beer and business event on Wednesday, October 10 from 4-6 pm. 12. “The event is open to the business community and admission is free,” Board Chairman Ines Nelson said.
The gallery is partnering with the Pearl City Clay House in Jamestown to offer a series of Japanese embroidery workshops with lecturer Deb Eck until October.

Holiday Pysanky workshop with Shandra Wilson will be held on Saturday, November 10th from 10am to noon. 5. In the gallery. Pysanky is a traditional method of decorating eggs using hot candle wax, a wooden stylus (Kystka) and colored dyes, says Nelson. There is a membership discount and all materials are included.
For those less interested in making their own art, Crary is hosting the Artisan Marketplace. “Our galleries will have up to 20 artisans selling their wares as well as a lot of art sold by the Warren Art Alliance,” Nelson said. “The event will take place on November 18th, 19th and 20th from 10am to 4pm. Artisan registration is currently open at craryartgallery.org.”
