Both women own other businesses, and Pearson said they have an “entrepreneurial spirit.” She said buying the building was one way they were helping to revitalize downtown Gladwater.
“We really wanted to bring in something new and get more East Texans to visit their own local attractions,” Pearson said, adding that Gladewater has a “downtown cool” The Winery”, a hot tea shop, is now a new place to eat. Pierson and Neimann continue to run the antique shop, but they also open The Clair Cafe & Tea Room in the building.
